JMC WARRANTY

Thank you for choosing JMC. Before using your vehicle, you are required to carefully read the User Manual and follow the requirements set out in the Warranty Manual.

To fully enjoy JMC’s product quality and after-sales support, your vehicle must receive regular and proper maintenance, and JMC warmly recommends that all routine maintenance is carried out at authorized JMC service units.

Any damage caused by maintenance or repairs performed at non-authorized JMC service units is not covered under JMC’s warranty obligations.

Product Quality Warranty – Carrying Plus

For JMC Carrying Plus vehicles, the Product Quality Warranty Period is:

  • 5 years or 150,000 km – whichever comes first.

Key Points:

  • Warranty services are handled by JMC’s authorized service units across the country; owners may submit claims to the nearest authorized service unit.
  • The warranty periods for individual components are specified in the JMC Carrying Plus Model Components Warranty Period Table.
  • Collisions that cause damage to body panels and paint coatings are not covered under warranty.

Product Quality Warranty – Vigus

For JMC Vigus vehicles, the Product Quality Warranty Period is:

  • 5 years or 100,000 km – whichever comes first.

Key Points:

  • Authorized JMC service units handle quality warranty services and accept claims from users based on proximity and convenience.
  • The warranty period for individual components is detailed in the JMC Vigus Model Components Warranty Period Table.
  • Defects caused by collisions to body panels and paint coatings are excluded from warranty coverage.

Genuine JMC Spare Parts Warranty

For both Carrying Plus and Vigus:

  • Genuine JMC spare parts fitted by an authorized JMC service unit are warranted for 12 months from the date of sale or installation and within 20,000 km (whichever comes first).
  • Where special parts have shorter warranty periods, the period specified in the relevant Components Warranty Period Table will apply.

Routine Maintenance & Service Intervals

To keep your vehicle in good technical condition and to protect your warranty, JMC recommends:

  • Following the Routine Maintenance Policy set out in each Warranty Manual.
  • Having all scheduled services carried out regularly at an authorized JMC service center.
  • For Carrying Plus and Vigus, service work should be performed at the kilometre or month intervals indicated in the official Service Schedule, whichever comes first.

Situations Not Covered by Warranty

The Warranty Manuals for Carrying Plus and Vigus list a number of situations not covered by warranty. In summary, these include (but are not limited to):

Non-authorized work and modifications

  • Damage caused by inspections, appraisals or repairs carried out at non-authorized JMC service units without company approval.
  • Damage caused by unauthorized vehicle modifications or installation of non-company-provided parts.

Failure to use and maintain as required

  • Losses resulting from failing to use and maintain the vehicle as required by the User or Warranty Manual.
  • Continuing to operate the vehicle after a fault occurs, without prior approval from JMC or an authorized service unit – only the original fault (if confirmed as a product quality issue) may be covered; additional damage is for the user’s account.

Surface, trim and aging issues

  • Discoloration, fading, pinholes, dents, rust and deterioration of painted body parts, interior and exterior trim and rubber parts due to sunlight, rain or aging, if not reported upon delivery.

Fluids, water ingress and disassembly

  • Faults caused by using non-original fluids or failing to use specified materials.
  • Faults caused by water entering the engine or other components.
  • Damage caused by unauthorized disassembly of the faulty vehicle that affects fault analysis and appraisal.
  • Consequences caused by long-term vehicle disuse.

Consumables and normal wear items

  • Common consumables such as lubricants, brake fluid, fuses, refrigerants and similar are not covered.

Usage, accidents and environment

  • Losses due to missing parts.
  • Losses caused by overloading, improper storage or use at abnormal temperatures, traffic accidents or improper operation by the driver.
  • Damage caused by environmental factors such as surface corrosion.

Indirect and economic losses

  • Additional costs and economic losses, including vehicle downtime, accommodation, rental vehicle fees, other travel losses and business losses, are not covered.

How to Request Warranty Service

When you require warranty service for Carrying Plus or Vigus:

1. Report the fault

  • Report the situation by telephone, email or other means.
  • Provide details including: vehicle model, factory serial number, VIN, manufacturing date, purchase date and mileage, fault location and description, vehicle location, contact number and contact person.

2. Use an authorized JMC service unit

  • This information enables JMC or an authorized JMC service unit to respond promptly and take appropriate measures.
  • Do not disassemble, inspect or repair the vehicle at non-authorized JMC service units without the company’s approval.

3. Present your documentation

  • o When visiting an authorized JMC service unit, show the Warranty Manual and vehicle registration certificate for registration.

4. Major faults and replaced parts

  • For significant faults or major losses, provide supporting proof, on-site records and photos to assist accurate assessment.
  • All faulty parts replaced under “Warranty” must be handed over to the authorized JMC service unit; failure to do so will result in denial of warranty service.

Important Notes for Protecting Your Warranty

The Warranty Manuals highlight several important usage and maintenance reminders:

  • Use only the original antifreeze recommended by JMC and replace it on time, draining the entire cooling system when required.
  • Select only the original oils and fluids recommended by JMC, and avoid substandard products. Follow the manuals for inspection and replacement intervals.
  • JMC will not be responsible for faults caused by improper use or maintenance.
